Case Review Group

The Case Review Group is responsible for reviewing cases where a child has died or has been seriously harmed in circumstances where abuse or neglect is known or suspected, and for coordinating and disseminating learning from these.

The Group provides advice to the Independent Chair of KSCB on whether the criteria for conducting a Serious Case Review (SCR) has been met and will support the Chair in establishing the initial scope for any SCR that is commissioned.

The Group will also develop procedures and protocol for undertaking SCRs in the county and challenge agencies to determine appropriate internal procedures to conduct smaller scale review or audits where necessary.
